Laptop Lazarus Redux
My laptop did it again. It died a nasty death. *grumbles* This is the second time my hard drive has failed in less than two years!
So here we are once again it and I staring blankly at one another; it already bogged down with all of the processor-robbing "enhancements" that come with a fresh Windows XP install, and I with a handful of CDs laden with the software I need to function.
I have lost practically everything; mostly personal stuff. Strangely my Yahoo! Messenger friends list appears to have vanished. Perhaps it is just a matter of coaxing the messenger to use HTTP-Tunnel again. I hope so. Now if only I could remember which password I used... Regardless, my friends lists for everything seem incomplete. So if you see me online and I don’t say hello it may be because you have gone missing from one of my lists and I could not remember your screen name. So please message me!
