An Odd Reunion
Last night by some happy chance, an impromptu reunion took place on the streets of Paragon City. The shard may have not been the same (Protector, rather than Champion), and the heroes' names, costumes and other pleasant innie and outtie bits may have been new, but it was the Odd Squad nonetheless… All except, Obby… :( We miss our Obby!

So there we were: Mary and Paw, Dark and Miss, and Au… and Mrs. Au too… :) but in unfamiliar guises. We danced and chatted and joked and laughed and generally enjoyed each others company…
…until the icy cold hand of digital death cut Mary's and Paw's Internet connection and they faded from view…
(Mary and Paw were able to reconnect later, but Mary wasn't feeling well, so they sent love to the rest of the team and logged.)
…then Miss' Mom's (brother's cousin's former roommate's -- *snickers*) cat barfed on her mom's bed and she had to go clean up the mess since she was the only one home…
…and finally that wicked spectre of "I've got to work in the morning" reared its ugly head, and Dark had to log…
…as did I and the missus.
*sigh*
So as the day drew to a close, and the last of the sun's rays kissed the spires of Paragon City goodnight, I waxed nostalgic for a bygone time when this city, our city, was protected by the stout hearts (and sexy sexy behinds) of the Odd Squad. Perhaps this chance meeting is a sign of our return to this fair city. Or perhaps it was just Chance giving us another glimpse at what once was. For myself, I am satisfied to have had the moment.
